Bike Hard, Sister Event to Row Hard, Proves Itself as Just as Competitive

A team from the law firm WSM won the tough and exciting first Bike Hard fundraising event at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability last night. They beat event sponsors, the Roehampton Club, by only two seconds, in a furiously hard-fought final, seeing Valhalla, the team from Andrew Jones Associates, come in third.

Bike Hard, a team event where teams of five compete by cycling  ten miles on Watt Bikes, is the new sister event to the ever popular Row Hard, which takes place at City Hall every June.

Bike Hard was sponsored by Slater and Gordon,the Roehampton Club, and Green Financial Advice. Domino’s Pizza in Putney came and provided competitors with free pizza and Virgin Active were handing out free day passes to all attendees.

Teams from the RHN threw themselves into the spirit of things by coming dress as penny farthing cyclists, and Santa’s Little Helpers. They nosily urging each other on.
