In 2018, my Grandad (Peter May) suffered a stroke and was later cared for at the Royal Hospital of Neuro-Disability. The time my Grandad spent rehabilitating under the care of the RHN, was filled with smiles, love and deep appreciation from everyone who loved him.

“My lovely brother was a patient at RHN, he had a heart dissection and subsequent stroke. Our lives changed forever from that day. He has come on leaps and bounds since then and it would not have been possible without the staff at RHN. The nurses who got him out of bed everyday, the physios who got him to take his first steps, the OTs who taught him how to make a cup of tea again. And the other patients, who inspired him to keep working hard. I am honoured to be able to raise money for them and the London Marathon this year.”
