Introduction to the National Lottery Heritage Fund Exhibition

In July 2019, the hospital was awarded a grant of £69,700 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop our archive service. The project’s aim is to open up and share the RHN’s rich history through a programme of conservation, cataloguing, digitisation, and outreach events.

One of these outreach events is a poster exhibition for display in the hospital garden from June to September 2022 for visiting patients, families, local communities, and the wider public.

This online exhibition accompanies the poster exhibition for those who are not able to visit the hospital in person. It also showcases some additional photos, letters and other interesting material from our archives, alongside recordings of interviews with our staff and from our Covid-19 oral history project.
